Configuring Outlook 2007 using Outlook Connector

You must already be knowing about Office Outlook Connector which came out of beta and was made available for download some days back. I had also posted about it here, from which you can get the download link for downloading it. Outlook Connector help to access and manage your Windows Live Hotmail or Office Live Mail accounts, including e-mail messages and contacts using Outlook 2003 or Outlook 2007.

Sometimes you get stuck while configuring Outlook while using mail accounts with customised domain names which are powered by Windows Live ID. Here is the easy way to access such mail using Outlook Connector.

I will configure a mail account having @vista.aero domain name about which I had posted here.
First download and install the Outlook Connector from the given link from here.
After this has been installed, a menu option 'Outlook Connector' gets added in Outlook 2007From this option , choose 'Add a new Account..." and just fill up the email id and password .That's all, you'll get a message to exit Outlook and restart to make the new account effective. And you can start sending and receiving email easily in outlook 2007 taking advantage of its other options. Check the above given link for what options you can get it for free using outlook Connector.

Please check the steps for configuring your @vista.aero account in WL Mail at:

I am thinking of putting a 'Contact Me' Form , so that people can ask their query with their email Id.
So that I can know the name and and answer them to their mail ID.

Anyway, thanks for asking the query.

What's the big deal about Outlook Connector? I have Outlook 2007 with Windows Vista. I created an internet connection for my e-mail address which is XXXXX@msn.com which is the same as a Hotmail account. Outlook works just fine without Connector. What would connector bring to the table?

Yes its simple in using Outlook Connector. No Big Deal. Other things it provides are ,like if you are user in a Microsoft Exchange environment and want to access Hotmail via Outlook. It also syncs Windows Live Contacts. Also can manage, share and synchronize your calendar, tasks and notes if service available.
