Windows Live Messenger MT Bot can now Speak !

WLmsngrlogo Few days back I had posted about Windows Live Messenger Translation Bot which translates our IM conversation into various languages.

Now this MTBot can not only translates but speaks also, whatever it translates. To begin with, it now speaks English and Spanish. So whatever it translates into Spanish can also be heard. Great work by MTBot prototype project.

So to try this first invite the bot by saying hello. (For those who have not added this bot to their contact list, please check Windows Live Messenger Translation Bot ). After saying hello, it will respond and you select  "es" for Spanish. Then bot*say Do you Speak Spanish ?

You can also use bot:say  but it gets turned into emoticon but it also works. So use bot*say <followed by sentence you want to translate and hear>.

After some time bot will respond with a link pointing to Comcast personal site of Helvecio Ribeiro and you can hear it Speak the translated text in Spanish.

Please remember that  Helvecio Ribeiro is doing this project and at present this is his personal project and the bot has been hosted on his new home server. So there might be some breaks due to home power failure or such things.

Try it & use it also to learn and Speak Spanish.  Enjoy!
