A new version of Windows Live Translator has been released which now also offers an online dictionary and human translation provided by a partner website.
If your machine translation looks odd for a given word, you can get the dictionary service from Encarta.
At present its offered for few languages:
- English to Spanish
- Spanish to English
- English to French
- French to English
- English to German
- German to English
- English to Italian
- Italian to English
And another service, the human translations are provided by Live Translation and is only offered for the English market. The partner website name matches with that of Windows Live. It does not have any other partnership with Microsoft other than their service offered so no confusion with the name 'Live Translation'. Its a paid service and a professional Human Translation order starts at US $2.99.
Their services are also restricted to the following languages for now:
- English to Spanish
- Spanish to English
- English to German
- German to English
- English to Italian
- Italian to English
- English to French
- French to English
- English to Portuguese
- Portuguese to English
