There might be a need arise when you want to enter into Safe Mode in Windows. And you generally do it using pressing F8 during booting but this is not possible in the Windows 8 Developer Preview.
You have to press and hold SHIFT + F8 to enter into Safe Mode in Windows 8.
This is one of the easier and default method , though you might have to try it 2-3 times before you succeed.
Another method is using msconfig from within Windows-
Press Win Key+R to open Run Window , type and run msconfig.exe
It will open the System Configuration Window. Click on the Boot tab. Select “Safe Mode’ and select type of Safe Mode- Minimal for regular Safe Mode, Alternate shell for Safe Mode with Command prompt, Network for Safe Mode with Networking. Click on OK, Restart to enter into Safe Mode.
Please note that you have to undo this to get into Normal boot.
These are the 2 most easy ways to enter into Safe Mode.
