Workaround for WSClient.dll error in Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 11102

One of the known issues listed by Microsoft for the recently released Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 11102 is WSClient.dll error dialog which the user gets to see after logging in. Microsoft is working on the fix. While the Microsoft is working on a fix, it has posted a workaround also for the same.

Actually users are getting this error in the previous build 11099 also.

Just run the following at the Command Prompt with admin rights.

schtasks /delete /TN “\Microsoft\Windows\WS\WSRefreshBannedAppsListTask” /F

For this, right click on Start button and click on Command Prompt (Admin) and at the command prompt, copy and paste the above command and press enter, you will see the result as Success with the message shown below.

So once you do this, you can restart the system and the Error dialog will not appear.
