The SixthSense device – that will change how we interact with the World

The SixthSense device- a wearable device that enables new interactions between the real world and the world of data. This device will surely change how we interact with the real World. This is an attempt where real World physical objects are seamlessly integrated with the digital world.

Pranav Mistry is the genius behind SixthSense. He’s a PhD student in the Fluid Interfaces Group at MIT's Media Lab. Before his studies at MIT, he worked with Microsoft as a UX researcher; he's a graduate of IIT, India.

Check out this recent lecture by him at TEDIndia, Mysore held in Nov’09 where he demos his device and explains it. The examples shown are just amazing and have immense potential in all walks of the World. This is a must watch video that will change how we interact with the physical World in future. Tom Cruise of Minority Report will be  a reality soon.

In an onstage Q&A, Mistry says he'll open-source the software behind SixthSense, to open its possibilities to all.
